Our mission

Our purpose is to respond to the immediate physical, spiritual, material, medical, social and educational needs of persons who reside in or travel through our community by providing temporary shelter, basic food needs, medical assistance, clothing and fuel when appropriate and possible. The reason for our existence as Good Samaritan Christian Services rests solely in the person and work of Jesus Christ and in our response of obedience by following and serving him. He has taught us that the essence of the Law of God is to love God wholly and to love our neighbors as ourselves, to do unto others as we ourselves would want done to us.  The parable of the Good Samaritan has provided us with both a name and a model.
